The Indian-French Laboratory of Solid State Chemistry (IFLaSC in English or LaFICS in French) is an Associated International Laboratory created in 2003 between the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), a French public scientific and technological institution, the Université de Caen Basse Normandie (UCBN), the Université de Strasbourg (US), the Université de Bordeaux (UB), public scientific and professional institutions and The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (IISC), an autonomous public institution funded by the government of India which were at tis occasion happy to welcome a new partner. Several laboratories and institutions linked to the CNRS, the UCBN, US and UB and the IISC are involved in this LaFICS2 that are :
The long-term cooperation between those entities aims to promote research and education in the field of Solid State and Materials Chemistry, Solid State Physics and Materials Science in sectors as varied as energy, electronics, optics, life-sciences and environment.
